High speed wire mill white metal bearings have just been exported to India

A Babbitt bearing (oil film bearing) , will be installed in the conical gearbox of the high-speed wire rolling mill. Some users also refer to it as white metal bearings. This type of bearing is currently not designed or led by companies such as Morgan, SMS and Danieli. Babbitt alloy is particularly suitable for high-speed and heavy-duty working conditions due to its excellent low friction coefficient and oil film adsorption ability. Actually, this type of bearing is not that mysterious. This type of oil film bearing is installed on both our gas turbine main shaft and engine crankshaft. 

We need to pay attention to some precautions when using oil film bearings: 

1. The fit between the Housing bore, Shaft Dim, and oil film bearing. Scientific fit clearance is the core installation requirement for oil film bearings. The fitting clearance greatly affects the working life of the bearing 

2.  The correct viscosity and oil pressure of the lubricating oil are necessary to ensure that the Babbitt alloy on the oil film bearing is not worn.
