Bearings for Continuous Casters

Characteristics

General continuous caster is composed of a molten steel transport device (ladle turntable), an intermediate ladle and its replacement device, a crystallizer and its vibration device, a secondary cooling zone clamping roller and cooling water system, a tension straightening machine, a cutting device, and a dummy ingot device. High-temperature molten steel is continuously poured into one or a group of water-cooled copper crystallizers. The steel gradually solidifies along the periphery of the crystallizer to form a billet shell. When the steel level rises to a certain height, and the billet shell solidifies to a certain thickness, the straightening machine pulls out the billet, and the billet is completely solidified by spraying water in the secondary cooling zone. The cutting device cuts the billet into the specified size according to the rolling requirements. 

The continuous casting machine simplifies steel production, improves production efficiency and metal yield, saves energy consumption, and greatly reduces production costs. In steelmaking enterprises, whether long-term steelmaking (CSP) or short-term (ESP) steelmaking, installing continuous casting machines is almost inevitable.
